Our approach: The 17 Sustainable Development Goals

As signatories to the United Nations Global Compact, we are committed to the Ten Principles and integrate responsible business practices on human rights, labor, environment, and anti-corruption in our global operations.

The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are 17 goals to set our world on a more sustainable path by 2030. To do business in the future, what we do now matters and so Thomson Reuters is supporting these goals through our products, our partnerships, and our people.

Our products
We know that data and information can change lives, and we have products, services and solutions across our global portfolio making an impact on the SDGs.

Our partnerships
Sharing knowledge and joining forces will ensure we meet the SDGs sooner. We proudly partner with our customers, suppliers and the global community to accelerate learning, thinking and progress in these areas.

Our people
We have a skilled, passionate, global workforce. Our Global Volunteer Networks, Green Teams and Business Resource Groups align with specific SDGs in their local activities, and many individuals use their knowledge to support community partners on the ground to meet their goals.

In September 2020, more than 1,000 Chief Executive Officers from companies in over 100 countries, including Thomson Reuters CEO Steve Hasker, have demonstrated their support for the United Nations and inclusive multilateralism by signing onto a powerful Statement from Business Leaders for Renewed Global Cooperation.
